Upcoming FLOW WEBINAR: Influencing Decision Making Processes: 23 April, 14h00 - 15h30 CET

The objective of this webinar is to leverage stakeholders’ expertise (involved in city planning, urban space, sustainability and active mobility) to influence politicians to change their perception about cycling and walking as traffic-reducing measures.

From a recent FLOW survey we know that nearly half of European political and administrative decision makers worry about congestion when introducing walking (41%) and cycling (48%) measures.

However, there's growing evidence that walking and cycling measures not only can improve the overall quality of life in our cities (air quality, urban space, health) but they can actually help reduce congestion. Active travel can increase capacity and improve the flow of traffic - for everyone.

For this reason this webinar organised by the FLOW partner European Cyclists’ Federation aims to provide interested stakeholders with some tools that can impact on the decision-making processes and put cycling and walking higher on the local political agenda.

Who is this for?

  • City officials
  • Cycling officers
  • Sustainable mobility experts in city administrations
  • Urban planners working with local authorities

This webinar will teach you how to:

  • Assess what do decision makers think is the impact of active mobility on traffic;
  • Identify Policy windows and prepare your actions;
  • Maximise your effort and impact when asking for new measures or funds;
  • Use the best tools available to support your claims;
  • Engage stakeholders to build a stronger case.

The webinar takes place on April 23rd from 14.00 till 15.30 (CET).

If you wish to attend the webinar, please register here (the platform allows a limited number of participants).
